This week marks the theatrical release of Sortie 67, a feature film directed by Jephte Bastien that follows the troubled life of a biracial man in the St-Michel district of Montreal. On Nov 5, the film will be released to the general public, following a special premiere and opening party on Nov 2, which the La Hacienda team will be attending. In-house composer, Brian D'Oliveira, teamed up with Orlanda "Vovo" Macedo Conceincao and Michael Vickerage to create a score that combines hip-hop, world beat, and classical strings.
The sound design and music scoring were done simultaneously in the La Hacienda studios for better integration of audio elements. In addition to the film's score and mix, we also mixed and mastered the soundtrack album for release.
